Yeah! :D Truth be told, he's not the first fabric butterfly I've made. I made one out of denim from a thrifted pair of jeans that I laser-engraved to give it a pattern. But! This one was the first one I made completely, from weaving to final touches sewing. Only thing I didn't do is spin the yarn! One day I'll learn how to do that, though :)

Getting the fabric to behave while laser engraving it was a pain, so I opted out of it for the final project, but it was still fun!

I forgot to show you all the little fellow I made the other day!

He's one of the prototypes for a multimedia project I'm working on now, and I am so proud of how he came out. He's entirely woven, sewn, and folded by hand using the bands I've made on my inkle loom (I'm sure anyone who's seen my other posts recognize this pattern!) I do wish I took more progress pictures during the sewing process, but alas, I didn't think of it at the time. It was definitely a process you really had to trust.

Even so, with enough creativity, anything is possible! There are no limits that can't be surpassed, no boundaries that can't be shattered. In art, rules are there to be broken, and in those cracks, you'll find the most interesting creations.

Use a medium you've never tried! Go into a process blind and see where you get on the other side! What is mundane to some is uncharted territory for others, fascinating and wonderful. Yes, he is just a small token of that creativity, but I love him all the same. I hope you all can find projects you're this excited by too!

so like. Dave's nonbinary to me. he just gives the vibe.

i headcanon that Henry's transmasc, just that no one can Tell and he never really brings it up unless it's in passing.

so like. here's the headcanon i have:

in their earlier days of working together, Henry kinda realized that Dave had like. no legal documents. none. not a driver's license, not any ID in general, nothing.

Dave just mentions that he might have a birth certificate out there somewhere, but even then that might be a MAYBE. and if he does have one, he has no clue how to access it, or where it is.

so Henry just...decides to get him some. (mostly by forging them, but hey, he's good at doing that)

it's only when they get to Gender that Dave starts having questions. it's at This Point Henry realizes that, despite Dave having a masculine name and all that, he kinda. doesn't really Have a gender. nor cares what it is. because he's mostly just gone along with whatever people called him on the streets up until this point (he's mostly been referred to as an 'it' for most of his life...not that he's ever fully minded those pronouns, either. he Has been referred to like a girl a few times, due to the long hair, though!)

unfortunately, they've gotta put something down, and they've only got two options. Dave finds this stupid, as does Henry. eventually, Dave asks like. how do humans determine gender? like what standards should he go by here? Henry responds "generally at birth, they determine your gender by whatever your genitals are. it's a rather simplified version of it, but that's mostly how it is done."

so then Dave asks (in a rather Dave-like fashion): so what's his gender if he happens to have a dick, then?

so Henry just kinda pinches the bridge of his nose and goes "you'd be considered male, then."

so that's what they put on there, but only because they had to put something down.

just y'know. a weird headcanon i had because like. i thought about it, and i realized that when Dave started working with Henry he likely wouldn't have like. Any sort of real identification on him. and he'd likely need to get some at some point. and he Obviously wouldn't know how to get documents the Normal Way (made more difficult by the fact he's a cryptid), so Henry goes "well. i did once, i can do it again."

also, someone teach Dave about what being nonbinary means, he'd have a heyday. (< aka Finally Has A Word To Describe His Gender)

Puh this was an even tougher watch than yesterday. Jungkook seemed incredibly exhausted, barely looked at the camera, barely said anything. He seemed so shy and down. Understandably. It’s been a long time, lot has happened and he’ll need time to work through it all, to adjust and to recharge. But idk he seemed a bit down too, some things he said about his achievements or his body or all of it, lacked so much confidence ❤️‍🩹 he barely said anything yet but the vibe I am getting is that he had a tough time and will need time now to idk come back to himself a little. I'm going to have to wait for the subtitles to be added to be able to get the full grasp of the JkJm live, but it does seem as though the vibe was different from Tae and Namjoon's live.

I watched the stream when they got out last night, and them seemed so tired to me already. I think being tired and having to do a live like this when you haven't been in front of a camera for so long is terribly difficult. Jk being an introverted person probably adds to this being difficult or awkward for him.

I think we'll be able to get a better picture of how they're doing in due time. They will (hopefully) rest and settle down a bit. I think Jk doing a live of his own, in his own house, in his own clothes, will probably already make some difference.

I don’t think I can verbalize how much I love and care for Predaking as a person like I cannot find a better character. Like he has at base such a compelling and complex personality and I just don’t feel like him being a cannibalistic idiot in ancient times suits him. Like come on. How do you get current Predaking from that..?? And don’t tell me Shockwave made him that way because he does not have those kinds of genes to pass on 😭😭

Also if Shockwave even had the ability to modify him to that extent he would have had to look at Predaking’s insides and then he would have seen the t-cog. 🙄🙄🙄

For Chuu!! She's a MCH. What bits of the story and job toolkit are canon for her? What arent? Whatve you changed? (like, does she have an alternate Queen or multiweapon attachment?)

So I don’t think she does Any of the Machinist Job-Quest-line, lmfao. She doesn’t have a Job Crystal, either, this is all self-taught organic rootin tootin aim-n-shoot’n. (Please laugh) … her ‘Drone’ is just a Magitek Bit she’s gotten her paws on while relocating (read: Quitting her Job and moving countries with no fore-warning) and repurposed to do a number of things Before-Building-Tuesday. Like cover fire. And recording voice-journals.

The Queen is. ‘Technically’ the same- I like to think it’s Probably just Old Tuesday Prototypes being put through their paces instead of getting scrapped, running on very bare-bones programming. If I was more mod-savvy I’d give it the Loporrit Robot Bunny ears in game XD (I almost made it a different Magitek machine altogether! But I think she’d rather have something marching into battle she built completely with her own hands than something repurposed. Not that she wouldn’t require a Reaper to start firing blasts randomly and March in a straight line into the enemy lololol)

She initially learned how to wield a gun from Garleans, with rigid target practice and gun handling procedures. For self-protection, mostly. An Engineer is no good to them dead. Especially not one so promising, even if she is…. Difficult to work with. She develops her own style over time and while she never gains PinPoint Accuracy without some, uh, self-modification, she’s a pretty decent shot. Favors guns with bayonets or blades for when something tries to get too close, though usually if she’s given any time to prepare she’ll have a handful of machines to call into battle anyways… or Talia. Lol.

I cannot think of a possible way to improve on or change the multi-tool, it’s in the brand of all-in-hilarious-nonsense Chuu Loves to make for some reason. At best, she probably tries to work out a way to make it Much More Compact- after all, Tuesday was her attempts to make a Robot that was so…. Humanoid. Pushing the limits on what was possible in terms of size and shape and functionality. [She managed to make a robot so human-like he's no longer attractive to her in the way Machines are.... Sad! Oh well, there's other robots.]

She did specifically paint her lunchbox (aether converter/ammunition kit/whatever you want to call it) cherry pink for Talia though. Her favorite color is pink 🌸

(You might be wondering; how did these two ever meet? You’d be right to wonder! I wonder too. 😳 someday me and my partner will hammer it out …. LOL.)
